Google+ users with iPhones will be glad to know that Google has silently issued an update for its social network app on iOS devices. The update brings the app more up to par with the web experience: users now get Instant Uploads for quick and convenient sharing of photographs, the ability to +1 votes to photographs (not just posts) and a search feature to locate content on the network.
The iOS app is still missing features like background photo and video uploads, but at least there’s Hangouts for video chat. Google+ for iOS only works on devices with iOS 4.0 or later. There isn’t a dedicated iPad version of the app yet, but this version should suffice for now. Head over to the Apple App Store to download the latest version of Google+.
