Google worked its magic on the smartphones with its Android OS and it spurred the redemption of many smartphone making brands. It is all because of Google that a smartphone like a Samsung Galaxy S managed to be a super successful device worldwide and it did indeed give Cupertino some jitters. Apple though seems to have recovered from consequences of the stiff competition it faced in the smartphone market after the advent of Android. When questions were being asked, Apple came up with these wonderful iOS based tablets and now it rules the tablet market, which is where the other manufacturers now wish to make a mark. Frankly speaking, even Android hasn’t come to the rescue of the tablets when it comes to competing with the iPads.
In such a situation, the onus has very much fallen back on Google to come up with a tablet that really competes with the iPad. Google will have to do the basics right though, as all of its Android versions are very unbaked to cater to the tablets and hence a more complete Android 3.0x platform needs to be readied in the first place. An expert from mobile-review is of the opinion that Google is already on its way to introduce a tablet of its own (Nexus Tablet) by the middle of this year. It will not be Samsung or HTC rendering the hardware assistance this time around; instead, LG will be the maker of this tablet.
