Is Nokia Lauching Four New 1GHz Symbian Smartphones?

Published

on

So yesterday we saw what looked like a leaked photo of the Nokia N5, a device that was reported to be running on the updated version Symbian Anna, or better known as Symbian Belle. Well now it looks like Nokia has another four Symbian smartphones up their sleeves, and by the looks of it, they will all be running on 1GHz processors.

First up we have the Nokia Helen, or Nokia 701. It will feature a 3.5-inch ClearBlack LCD and an 8MP camera and is apparently a successor to the Nokia C7. The second device is known as the Nokia Zeta or Nokia N700, which is supposed to be very thin and will be featuring a 3.2-inch AMOLED display and NFC technology.

Third up is the Nokia Cindy, which also features NFC technology, along with a 3.2-inch AMOLED display and a 5MP camera and will be a youth focused device, which is along the lines of the current Nokia X7. Last of all, there’s the Nokia Fate, or Nokia 500, which will be the cheapest of the four, with price being the key factor. Apart from the 1GHz processor and a 5MP camera, the Nokia Fate is nothing to shout about.

Not exactly the most revolutionary devices, but at least Symbian fans should be satisfied for now.

LG Works On Nuclun 2 Chipset

Published

LG-logoLG has been rather quiet about developing its very own mobile chipset design for some time already, where the first Nuclun SoC will soon be followed up by – surprise, surprise, the Nuclun 2. This is not the first time that the Nuclun 2 name was brought up, and up till now, there has been no devices that were released with Nuclun 2 at its heart, although that might change with the upcoming V10 successor if rumors prove to be correct.

In other words, the LG V10’s successor will most probably be released some time in the second half of the coming year, which means it will be some time before it ends up as a shipping product. It also remains to be seen whether the Nuclun 3 will hit the streets in the near future, but as with most other cases, patience is definitely called for.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Gains FCC Nod Of Approval

Published

on

galaxy-a9-fccSo, there is a new Samsung smartphone that is about to be released – big surprise, that, and I say this with full a sarcasm. Still, those who want something that looks to hang out on the high end side of things in terms of design and form factor, and yet having a mid-range performer within, can always settle for the Samsung Galaxy A9.

The handset has already appeared on the FCC database, which means it has been approved, and listed as the Samsung Galaxy A9. With the green light given, it is but a matter of time before it hits the market. While very little detail has been released so far, it should not be too long now before an official announcement is made. All that one can do now is to sit tight and wait. [FCC Page]

Alleged HTC One X9 Gets A Photo Session

Published

What is the world’s best kept secret? I suppose that would be a subjective question, with a myriad of answers for your picking if you were to take into consideration the different industries and niches, but where smartphones are concerned, especially with the HTC banner involved, then it would be the HTC One X9 being the next handset from the company. A set of photos of the alleged device has surfaced, and in these photos, it has more or less confirmed the overall design of the device – including its SIM card slot, power and volume button locations.

Other rumored hardware specifications include a 5.5” Full HD display, a MediaTek MT6795 SoC, either 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a 3,000mAh battery, a 13MP shooter at the back with OIS, and an UltraPixel front camera. All that we have to do now is to sit tight and wait for an official announcement concerning the hardware, and it is good to go.
