Lenovo S800

At a fashion showcase in Beijing recently, Lenovo showcased a new feature phone that has a feature not found in a lot of phones- a translucent screen. Sony Ericsson had previously come up with one before- the Pureness, but that only had a monochrome screen. Lenovo’s S800 on the other hand packs a color translucent display, one step up from Sony Ericsson’s offering. I wonder who will be the next one to come up with a full color translucent display. No doubt the phone looks sharp and stylish but as it stands, there’s no benefit to having a translucent display. It’s clearly a case of form over function here. What uses can you think of for having a translucent display on your phone?
