freescale-wirelessFreescale more or less figured out that wireless charging does have its fair share of advantages, and I am quite sure that many a company out there will agree with them as well, such as automotive manufacturer Toyota. However, Freescale has started to fall behind in this field of wireless charging due to the recent advances concerning such chipsets which have managed to speed up wired charging speeds by a massive and significant amount. Freescale intends to balance the imbalance, so to speak, by offering a new kind of hardware that could enable one to wirelessly charge devices up to 3x faster.

It is said that this speed increase will be similar to those found in the newer USB chargers, where they are able to deliver a higher voltage to your device, which results in approximately 14 watts of power as opposed to the traditional 5 watts.
