After leaked images and specifications surfaced on the internet a while back, the low-end affordable smartphone was finally announced today by HTC. The phone itself which looks like a mini-member of HTC’s One-range of smartphones comes with lower-end but decent specifications and even comes with the HTC exclusive 25GB cloud-based storage that is provided by Dropbox. The HTC Desire C features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that rocks a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, a 600MHz processor which is supported by 512MB of RAM.

There is also 4GB of internal storage that is further substantiated by the Dropbox storage mentioned above. Besides that, the smartphone will also feature a rear-facing 5MP camera, Wi-Fi and a 1230mAh battery. The Desire C which will begin its rollout in Europe later this month will sell for 200 euros ($254) as an unlocked phone and it will be available in red, white and black colors. The questions that remain about the device are; when it will launch in the US, how much will it be and on which carriers will it be available? But rest assured, because when we have an inkling of an answer to those questions, we will be sure to let you know as well.
