Pantech C530 Appears At The FCC

Pantech C530 Appears At The FCC

Pantech may tend to send rather boring devices to AT&T to sell, with the C810 dual slider phone being the only exception, and it looks like it’ll stay that way. Their latest C530 handset has appeared at the FCC, and it looks like it’ll be headed towards AT&T. The models that end up at AT&T from Pantech tend to start with a “C”, which is probably a homage to Cingular. This phone has GSM / EDGE on the 850 / 1900MHz bands. That’s all the information that’s floating around at the moment, unfortunately.

AT&T Wireless is now offering Pantech’s new handset, the Pantech Breeze.

The Pantech Breeze is an entry level clamshell priced at $49.99 with a 2-year service agreement. It has the usual basic features of an entry-level phone, such as a 128x160 display, and a VGA camera. Being an entry-level phone, it’s nice to see that it comes with Bluetooth.

AT&T Preparing The Pantech Duo 2 C820

AT&T Preparing The Pantech Duo 2 C820

AT&T have been working together with Pantech in preparing the successor of the Pantech Duo C810, which is a Windows Mobile 6 Standard powered device, which features a dual sliding mechanism, such as the Pantech-sourced Helio Ocean.

The next Pantech Duo will have the model number C820, which makes it rather obvious that it’s the successor of the Pantech 810. Features are said to be a rounded black case, similar to that of Motorola’s old MPx200, and with dimensions quite close to the HTC Vox.

Concept Phones from Pantech

Concept Phones from Pantech

Pantech decide to tap on unpaid brains by organizing a cell phone design contest in Korea, with participants coming from different universities where there are design students studying there. All I can say is, the future of cell phone design is extremely radical.

    Pantech Duo hands-on

    Pantech Duo hands-on

BGR has done it again, getting their mittens on the yet-to-be-released Pantech Duo. Here are their initial impressions.

First off, the device is really small. The keyboard is worlds better than the Helio Ocean, and while it might not be fair to compare it to the Ocean, it is more or less the same concept. 3G on here is such a pleasure, and while we’re not talking about Windows Mobile 6 Professional, Standard works just fine for this little handset. Battery life is a concern, especially with a 3G radio, but since we just got it we don’t have a real gage on battery performance. Voice quality and sound quality sounded crisp and clear as well.

How much longer do we have to wait, AT&T?

    Pantech C180 dual slider

    Pantech C180 dual slider
The Pantech C180 is a dual slider cellphone that will run on Windows Mobile. When you slide it one way, the QWERTY keyboard will reveal itself, while sliding it the opposite manner will reveal a numeric keypad. It will be available from AT&T and feature quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900), EDGE, 3G and HSDPA, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and GPS navigation. Sounds like a pretty comprehensive package by any means! Hopefully the price will be easy on the pocket.

AT&T to shock and awe this month

AT&T to shock and awe this month
Word on the street has it that AT&T will be launching a large variety of cellphones this month, including at least a couple of Motorola's RAZR2 V9 and Q9h that are both next-gen 3G handsets. This leak was not accompanied by news of any AT&T-specific software extras, although it is confirmed that both cellphones will be equipped with speed and features that can take advantage of the network's eMusic Mobile online store and Video Share services. Other devices up their sleeves include the BlackBerry 8820, the Pantech C810, and the Amoi SMT5700. No word on pricing for the entire lot, but if you're holding out for a new handset and don't mind signing up with AT&T, August and September would be very interesting months.

    Pantech C150 hits the US

    Pantech C150 hits the US

Americans will be able to wrap their fingers around this delicious looking entry-level handset from Pantech. Known as the Pantech C150, this handset might come with a paltry VGA camera, although the inclusion of flash sweetens the deal. Bluetooth connectivity is a luxury for phones of its class, while GPRS rounds off the C150's list of features. The Pantech C150 is available from AT&T for $200 without any service plan, or you can pick this up for free after signing a new two-year contract. This is one of the better looking cellphones for those who are looking for a basic yet functional handset.

    Pantech reveals DMB slider phone

    Pantech reveals DMB slider phone

Pantech has just unveiled its new DMB slider handset in Korea, and this slim cellphone measures a mere 9.9mm thin, so you can be sure that it won't cause an unsightly bulge in your pocket no matter where you go. Its thickness also makes it one of the slimmest mobile TV cellphones available in Korea, but other than the aesthetic value, the remaining features are pretty rudimentary, ranging from the 1.3 megapixel camera, 2.2" display, built-in dictionary, and an integrated MP3 player. There is no word on pricing as at press time.
