Toshiba Excite 10 Quad-Core Tegra 3 Tablet Now Available

After the announcement by Toshiba for its mid-range 10-inch Android powered tablet last month, it seems that the day has finally arrived. I use the term mid-range very loosely due to the fact that in the same range of tablets released by Toshiba, there is a 13-inch monster lurking somewhere in the depths. The Toshiba Excite 10 is now available from Amazon for the price of $499.99. If you haven’t already read up on the device prior to the announcement, allow us to explain the specifications of the slate to you.

It will ship with a 10.1 inch Gorilla Glass touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels in resolution which will be powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 which clocks in 1.2GHz. Furthermore, it will come with 1GB of RAM, a battery that will allegedly provide 10 hours of life and finally it comes in 3 variants, the 16GB which will retail at $499.99, the 32GB version which will sell at $529.99 and finally, the 64GB version which will sell at $649.99. Oh yes, the tablet will be running Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. What do you think about the Excite range of tablets by Toshiba, will you be heading over to Amazon to give it a whirl?
