NEC Tablet Flaunts its Moves at the FCC

For most people who are familiar with the FCC, you would know that it regularly offers us the information which indicates that a device will soon be landing on US markets. Sometimes it gives us information about a device that is anticipated while at other times it gives us the scoop about devices that we didn’t even know existed. As for today, it seems that the FCC has spat out some sparse details about a 3G tablet made by NEC. When we say sparse, it is actually an understatement because the report from the FCC doesn’t even provide pictures about the alleged device and a little more with regards to the specifications attached to the device.

What we do know however is that it sports GSM and HSPA radios as well as standard Wi-Fi connectivity. The tablet itself measures at 222.6mm across, which indicates a screen of about 7-inches long diagonally. The mouthful of a model name attached to the device is the KMP7R4D1-1A and as far as we know, it doesn’t point to any device we have previously heard of. With that said, we will definitely be keeping you updated with any developments regarding this mysterious device. One aspect of the diagram that does worry me a little is the integration of an earpiece on a 7-inch tablet.
