After ABC News’ Beill Weir entered the Foxconn factory where iPads and iPhones are made in China, the second reporter to be granted access is Rob Schmitz. In the video above, Schmitz brings exclusive footage about how iPads are manufactured and tested. Schmitz revealed that the company has 240,000 people working there inside the factory and that includes the 50,000 that live on campus in shared dormitory rooms. Rob Schmitz was the reporter who exposed Mike Daisey’s fabrications about working conditions at the Chinese factory and now he is back with more footage but this time to take you through the process of producing an Apple iPad.
