The upcoming Archos Arnova 9 G3 tablet has reared its head at FCC. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered tablet with a 9.7” display is expected to carry a relatively low price tag given the company’s reputation for inexpensive tablets and within Archos itself, the most affordable range of tablets thus far have fallen under the “Arnova” name.

While the latest Arnova isn’t going to score the best scores on benchmark tests or feature a screen as dynamic as that on the new iPad, it isn’t really bad. The 3rd generation Arnova tablet is expected to have a 1024 x 768 resolution on the before mentioned 9.7” IPS display which allows wide viewing angles, a 1 GHz Rockchip RK2918 single core processor, 1GB of RAM along with 4GB of storage. Reportedly, it will weigh in at 1.4 pounds.
