Good new US Cellular subscribers because it looks like the carrier is geared up to release eight new smartphones and two new tablets by the end of 2011, adding to their current portfolio of smartphones and tablet devices.

No word on what specifications those devices will carry yet but it is said that seven of those eight smartphones will be running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 and the eighth will be a Windows Phone 7 device, perhaps with the Mango update? One of the phone models will also feature 4G connectivity and that model is due in November.

HTC will be providing four of the devices starting with the Windows Phone handset which will be followed up by two Android phones and a 7-inch tablet in the fall. Meanwhile Motorola on the other hand is set to provide a dual-core, 4.3-inch smartphone with world-roaming capabilities which sounds reminiscent of the Motorola Photon 4G that was recently announced. LG is another known manufacturer and they will be brining in one of the “slimmest and lightest” mobiles complete with a 7-inch touch screen and 1GHz processor and both LG and Motorola are expected to start shipping this fall.

Sounds exciting doesn’t it? Stay tuned as we update you as the devices start rolling out.
