Canadian Carrier Claims Android 6.0 Marshmallow Set To Arrive This October 5

It is more or less a given that in due time, all smartphones, tablets and other miscellaneous devices that run on the Android platform will see Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the dominant version, but right now, this particular version has not even hit the market just yet. What we have heard from a Canadian carrier, however, would be the start of something bigger. Telus of Canada claims that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will roll out this coming October 5th, where the first two devices that will come with this operating system version will be the Nexus 5 as well as the Nexus 6.

Of course, Telus is also careful to throw in a disclaimer, stating that the date might not remain at October 5th, as it could very well be subject to change – which is to be expected anyways, since nothing has been firmed up on an official basis just yet. As for the two Nexus handsets that will roll off LG and Huawei production lines, they are tipped for an unveiling later this September 29th, so we’ll see.
