Motorola’s Lost Prototypes

Published

on

Motorola has seen a fair amount of ups and downs over the years, and what you see above happens to be something that never really managed to see the light of day. In fact, there is a slew of prototypes that did not manage to appear on store shelves everywhere, including a RAZR-style flip phone that runs on Android, phones that make use of cork as a material, as well as early iterations of the Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch.

Motorola has had a long and storied history when it comes to creative phone designs, ranging from the PEBL to the Aura, among others. Imagine a RAZR flip phone that carried a 20-key text keypad that runs on Android, now that would certainly be a strange sight in this day and age, wouldn’t you think so? Still, it is nice to see how technology has evolved over the years and things have gotten a whole lot more simple with a full touchscreen display getting all the work done.
