Motorola Owns The Moto G Trademark

Motorola has made some waves in the news today, never mind that the iPad Air, a Retina Display iPad mini, as well as a new Nokia tablet has been announced. This time around, we have learned that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded Motorola with the ownership of a trademark on the name “Moto G”.

Moto G can be pretty hard to interpret – is it a smartphone? Could it be an accessory? That remains to be seen, of course, and it considering how Motorola has concentrated a whole lot on being a company that rolls out mobile devices, this particular trademark could end up as either.
