Cheaper Moto X On Its Way, Says Motorola’s CEO

The Motorola Moto X was introduced to the masses earlier this morning, and this mid-range phone (which is proudly made in the USA of course) certainly has had its fair share of leaks in the past. The thing is, for a mid-range handset, the asking price of $199 to be accompanied by a 2-year contract is something that some folks might cringe at, considering how at that price point with an agreement, one would normally get a high-end handset instead. Still, there is hope for those who want a more affordable Moto X, as Motorola’s CEO, Dennis Woodside mentioned in an interview with CNET that a more affordable Moto X smartphone is in the works.

Woodside shares in the interview, “We want everyone to have access to affordable smartphones. Moto X is the brand that we are most focused on… and there is more to come. You will see additional products within months.” Within months, you say? We will definitely keep a keen eye out for it.
