Motorola Droid receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update

The old school Motorola Droid is certainly a well loved smartphone, where it has successfully helped Motorola out from the rut that they were in after suffering from RAZR fatigue, so to speak. Well, it is rather hard to believe that the now classic Motorola Droid is just nearly three years old, once again going to show just how fast the rate of technology progresses. Old can be considered to be gold though, as owners of the newer Android-powered smartphones are still waiting for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, but the Motorola Droid has already gotten its unofficial ROM for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

This was a labor of love by a developer over at XDA Forums, where one who actually flashed the build claimed that this will be a very functional ROM, although there are issues with the camera which seems to be rather slow at times, or not working at all. Those of you who happen to own an unlocked and rooted Motorola Droid, you might want to wipe the dust off this old boy and start tinkering around with it.
