There has been a massive influx of affordable tablets arriving at the market as of late. Now, it seems that another one has been added to the mix and this one comes in the form of an affordable Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet from French-based Yzi. The $170 is not as affordable as the Aakash tablet that was purchased in bulk by the Indian government but it is a bit better. It will come with a single-core Cortex-A8 processor that has been clocked at 1.2GHz. It will be supported by a Mali-400 GPU along with 512MB of RAM. It will come with 4GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot that allows space expansion up to 32GB of memory.

The tablet that will ship in either 3G + Wi-Fi as well as Wi-Fi only models only has a front-facing 0.3MP camera so it doesn’t exactly bring much to the table in that aspect. In addition to that, it will also come with an USB port, a HDMI connector and a battery that is said to last 15 hours on a single charge. As for the 10-inch screen that comes with the tablet it has a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels and supports five-point capacitive touch support. When it does land in the US market the affordable tablet will come with a one year warranty but since the manufacturer is all the way over in France, it might mean that your device might get a little holiday.
