Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0.4 Update Seems Legit

If you have noticed a few stories about a Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Verizon with Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich on version 4.0.4, it came from a photo that was taken when a forum member entered a Verizon Wireless store and noticed it on one of the display phones available there. Thus far, the update to 4.0.4 has been nowhere to be seen but given the existence of it on a store-front device does make the update rollout a little more imminent.

Of course with a little bit of Photoshop related skills, one can just doctor a picture to make it say 4.0.4 but apparently some folks who are very interested in the update were able to procure a log from an update phone and obtain the actual file of the upgrade. While this would open up the avenue for unofficial roms, we hope that with this leaked information or a mistaken move of displaying a phone that was meant for testing out the new update, the software update is just around the corner. When it does become official, we will definitely let you know about it. Until then, do take this news with a pinch of salt.
