Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0.4 Update Returns

Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners might have spotted a software update earlier in the month that came out for their devices. The update with the number IMM76K would have bumped your device up to Android 4.0.4. After it was released at the beginning of May, it was apparently removed without any reason and subsequently, people were utterly confused. Today however, the carrier has apparently made the link available again and the update is ready to download for those who just can’t wait for the over-the-air (OTA) update notification and know what they’re doing with their Android device.

It would be wise to know that the file in question isn’t a full install of Android 4.0.4 but an update that will only work on a stock factory image. So if you’re not running stock, this file is definitely not for your device. If you haven’t already gotten your notification, do check your settings for any signs of the update. If you’re feeling a little impatient, you can download the file directly from Google here.
