Just awhile back, we reported a smartphone that was newly launched by Sony called the Xperia Acro S. However, it seems that the manufacturer also released another one that it has called the Sony Xperia Go. This one on the other hand doesn’t pack the high-end specs that the Acro S has in it but is decent nevertheless.

The Sony Xperia Go otherwise known as the Xperia Advance which is the name it will carry when it hits US markets features a 3.5-inch Reality display, a 5MP rear-facing snapper, a 1GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it will be available in black, white and yellow colors.

According to Sony, the smartphone meets the IP67 rating that makes it sound like hell of a tough smartphone. According to Sony, the Gingerbread OS should be upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but no timeframe was announced. The Japanese manufacturer also mentioned that the phone will be available globally sometime after the beginning of Q3 2012.
