Sony Announce Xperia Mobile Gaming Arena

In an agreement with game developer Gameloft and organizer as well as promoter for competitive gaming events, Major League Gaming; Sony Mobile has announced the creation of what is the first-ever online competitive gaming platform exclusively for mobile devices. The newly announced platform has been dubbed Xperia Mobile Gaming Arena and it’s open to players on Android and iOS devices. With the Xperia Mobile Gaming Arena, players will get the opportunity to compete against one another for prizes amounting to more than $10,000 allegedly.

If you’re looking to participate, all players have to do is to link their Major League Gaming and Gameloft accounts. After that, you can play a featured Xperia Mobile Gaming Arena title which is limited to Gameloft’s first-person shooter game, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nations. After achieving your score, you will automatically be added to the arena’s leaderboard. The company states that once the arena officially launches, additional titles will follow suit over the coming months. Modern Combat 3 has been specifically enhanced for Sony’s own Xperia Play gaming smartphone which has also been given the honor of being the official mobile handset of the Major League Gaming Arena.
