Samsung Galaxy S3 Launching in 28 Countries Today

The day that the public will finally get their hands on the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone is finally here. For the folks over at the US however, it looks like we’ve still got some waiting to do. Samsung just announced that the flagship phone will launch in 28 countries across Europe and the Middle East today with the number increasing to 145 countries by the time July comes.

According to Samsung, the wide scale launch in question is the company’s largest single device push and that its extension in July will increase the number of carriers offering the phone to 296 globally with the inclusion of US based carriers as well. To refresh your memory, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will feature a 4.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, an 8MP camera, 32GB of internal storage (different versions are 16GB and 64GB), Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor and it will come in Pebble Blue and Marble White colors for now.
