Samsung Galaxy S3 Launcher Ported to Galaxy S2

This news applies specifically for owners of the Galaxy S2 I9100. It seems that since the Samsung Galaxy S3 firmware got leaked, the folks over at XDA have been working on porting applications like the all-new S-Voice to other Android phones. Now apparently their efforts have resulted in Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 owners having access to the S3’s TouchWiz launchers that was “inspired by nature”. XDA forum member with the handle Smando is the individual responsible for this particular port and the launcher that works well with the S2 looks pretty slick.

Unfortunately, for now it only works on Samsung based ROMs so for all those running AOSP, it will be awhile until you’ll be able to get a taste of it. The launcher comes in a recovery-flashable update.zip to make installation easy. Users that want to give it a whirl will have two options, a stock launcher with a 4 x 5 layout or a modified one that has a 5 x 5 layout.
