Apple’s popular digital magazine application Flipboard is definitely making its way over to Android. The information comes from the fact that it was seen during the Samsung Galaxy S3 launch a few hours ago. The source says that it will arrive later ‘this summer’. What Flipboard in essence is, is a digital magazine that beautifully aggregates content from all your favorite web sources and social networking feeds. Flipboard in turn confirmed the news with a tweet that said, “Previewed on Samsung III today, Flipboard is coming to Android phones soon.”

The company has directed potential users to a sign-up page where they can put in their email address to allow the company to send any notifications with regards to the impending application. After many applications that made their names popular on the iOS platform and then decided to put one foot in the Android market, Flipboard is the latest one to announce that will be doing so as well. The latest prominent example is Instagram which saw huge success after it added its photo-sharing service to the Android platforms just before it was acquired by the social networking magnate, Facebook.
