A new PoP Video adapter has just been created that can turn your iOS device into a nifty little Pico Projector. The PoP Video Pico Projector which is an innovation of Micron technology costs only $99 and allows your device to be cradled on it with a 30-pin sync/charger slot that juts out of it. After the release of Samsung’s Galaxy Beam smartphone which comes with a built-in pico projector, this one seems to throw the gauntlet down and adds another interesting accessory to the already existing thousands.

It churns out a video output of 960 x 540 pixels in resolution and its Lithium-ion battery can last 2 hours on a full charge. The creators of the accessory have kept the consumers in mind and it has been designed to pair up with an application that is free for download. From the video link that we received, the projector will work with web pages, Facebook, and videos that are downloaded from iTunes or iTunes U that are not MPEG 3 protected. The device is said to be compatible with the iPhone 4, 4S and the 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touches. If you are interested in pre-ordering this cool gadget for $99, just click here.
