Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo has launched a smartphone just for the kids which comes in three bright colors; yellow, blue or pink. The HW-01D Android powered smartphone is the latest member of DoCoMo’s summer models. The phone has a 2-inch QVGA screen with a 240 x 320 resolution, the browser and phone can be restricted to parent-set contacts and websites. In addition to that it will have a 100-decibel alarm that can ward off nasty people, GPS and it even provides the ability to send text messages using the positioning capabilities to make tracking your beloved kids that much easier. To make for durable usage, the HD-01D has been constructed of ‘sturdy plastic’ that is said to be waterproof and dust-proof. The simple and bright phone might see kids stay away from using the long-forgotten payphones and instead be connected to their parents or guardians with this instead.
