After Nokia released its last update for the Lumia 800 Windows Phone device named 12070, many users reported a bug which seemed to be caused by the update concerning volume behavior. Now, there’s a new update which will bring the Lumia 800 firmware up to 12072 which is said to fix the volume related glitch. On top of that, the update apparently brings along some changes to the phone’s camera app making it automatically detect 50Hz or 60Hz flickering from electronic lights when the ‘flicker reduction’ feature is used.

In addition to that, the company has also included an enhancement to the Nokia Lumia 800’s power management system with the improvement of better charger recognition as well. If reports online are to believed, the update should already be on its way. However, Nokia’s software availability page indicates that the latest firmware is still the previous 12070 that caused the primary problem in the first place.
