LG Announces Optimus LTE 2: Has Staggering 2GB of RAM

The South Korean electronics giant LG has made the announcement for its new Optimus LTE2 in the company’s home country. The phone doesn’t get its due recognition due to the fact that it isn’t as popular as the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the iPhone but this one will definitely make you do a double-take. The LTE-enabled phone has a 2150mAh battery, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and a massive 2GB of RAM. While there are no specific details as to whether it will get wireless charging, it does comply with the standards set by The World Association of Wireless Charging (WPC).

To put into perspective what 2GB of RAM really means, if you didn’t buy a laptop or gaming computer this year, there is a good chance that your current computer either equals or lacks in RAM compared to this behemoth which also looks to be quite large. In essence however, this also means users will be privileged to better multitasking without having to re-draw as often. As we all know, who doesn’t like multitasking. For now not all the details about the device are known but the other interesting thing about it is the True HD IPS display. The LTE 2 is due to debut on five carriers in South Korea and there are apparently “other markets” to follow. Do you hope it arrives on the shores of America?
