Is This the Back and Sides of the New iPhone?

A parts supplier told the folks over at iFixYouri that they have received an image of a part that is apparently entering their catalog. From what they have to say, it could be the backplate for the next-gen iPhone or maybe just an early prototype. According to the folks over at 9to5Mac, the Chinese parts supplier has the record of being reliable but we still have to treat this bit of news with some caution.

The component in question does seem to be in line with many of the rumors and speculations with regards to the next iPhone such as the smaller dock connector that appears to be thinner, the extra space on the bottom which Apple wants to use to enhance the speakers as well as the backplate which is just one piece anchored by an aluminum alloy.

In addition to that, the component supplier told iFixYouri that black and white would not be the only two colors this year with there being apparently “at least two other colors seen for the backplate”. While we do want to treat this as a rumor, the same unknown parts supplier were apparently the same ones who told us that the iPad would also come in white color.
