The popular photo-sharing application Instagram for Android devices has received its latest update which adds the Tilt-shift effect to its already abundant amount of photo effects and filters. The latest update will bring the version of the application up to 1.1.0 and can be downloaded via the Google Play Store. This latest feature can be spotted during the editing phase of usage and is symbolized by the droplet icon which resides in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

This effectively allows users to create either linear or spherical blur effects for what seems to be extra depth of field. Prior to the update, the feature was only available on the iOS version of Instagram. After the developer of the application which is also called Instagram was acquired by Facebook last month, it started hitting new highs in both, the Android Play Store as well Apple’s App Store. Apparently, within the first 24 hours of its release on Google’s Play Store, it hit 1 million downloads.
