HTC Sensation 4G and Samsung Galaxy S2: Android Ice Cream Sandwich Race

Sometime last week, we were treated to a leak which allegedly “confirmed” that T-Mobile’s variants of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation 4G were on the verge of getting their update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. If the leak is to be believed, the update will land first for the Samsung Galaxy S2 on May 14th with the HTC Sensation 4G getting it two days later on May 16th. This week however, T-Mobile has been talking about the Sensation 4G without even mentioning the Samsung Galaxy S2 which seems to be the more popular selling smartphone.

Apparently now, we have the pleasure or introducing yet another leaked document to you from T-Mobile’s support website which again confirms that the HTC Sensation 4G will be getting the ICS update and that the team behind the update has completed its testing process with it deemed to be available “very soon”. As for the Samsung Galaxy S2 however, there is still neither official news nor any leaks that suggest an update for it. Would it be possible that the carrier is planning on announcing the update for what is allegedly the lesser popular HTC Sensation 4G before it is rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S2.
