Flipboard Launches Android Beta

Prior to this article, the folks over at XDA worked hard to bring a leaked version of the Flipboard news application from the Galaxy S3 smartphone to other Android users. Now however, that the Samsung flagship phone has launched, Flipboard has just launched its Android Beta version. If you’re looking to sign up, you can head over to www.flipboard.com/android after which, Flipboard will email you a set of instructions to follow and lo and behold, you’ll have an official albeit beta version of the app on your Android device.

If you have been looking forward to the gorgeous news application but didn’t want to risk installing the leaked version earlier, you might want to hit it up now. As for the Samsung Galaxy S3, we heard that it might be coming stock on the device but in the US, it might be depending on the carrier so we can’t confirm anything on that front just yet. The application first launched as an iPad app back in July 2010 and after only one and a half years, it finally made its way to the iPhone. We can expect basically the same beautiful interface but given the differences between the operating systems, there will be a certain degree of re-engineering involved.
