Credit Card Sized Stylus in the Works at Quirky

Published

on

After the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note and the application ‘Draw Something’, the demand for the stylus has clearly been on the rise. This sparked a release of many different types of styluses in various forms and sizes. Quirky is a design shop that apparently uses ideas from a crowd of contributors to create new products. The company is currently thinking about a new idea they received which is called the Cipher that is simply a credit card looking stylus that looks so real that it can even fir into your wallet.

The reason why it looks so real and similar to a credit card is because it is. This Cipher was designed to look exactly like a credit card with its magnetic strip except that this one is made from capacitive material that allows users to draw or write on your iPhone or iPad. Since you can tuck it away in your wallet, it is unlikely that it will be going missing as often as stand-alone styluses that somehow vanish off the face of the planet. For now, the Cipher is still in its product evaluation phase but if it does get produced, it is expected to be priced at about $4 each and will sell in packs of two.
