AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket HD Scrapped

Given the recent launching of the Galaxy S3 by Samsung, AT&T has apparently opted to drop the alleged release of the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket HD. The Skyrocket was supposed to be AT&T’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE. The Skyrocket was first highlighted during CES earlier this year and the latest development is reportedly a joint decision between Samsung as well as the carrier.

Curiously enough, the launch of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 has not been officially announced by AT&T yet but what was mentioned is that the smartphone will be available on “the fastest HSPA+ and LTE networks” in the U.S this summer. Since AT&T apparently fits the description, we can only hope to think that it will be adding Samsung’s latest flagship device to its arsenal of smartphones. With regards to those of you were hoping for the S2 Skyrocket HD to land, for AT&T, it seems that you will be a little disappointed.
