Asus Eee Pad Slider Gets Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

In a tweet from Asus a while back, the company confirmed that an update to bump up the OS on the Eee Pad Slider from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich is already on its way in the US. It said, “UPDATE. #Android ICS release v9.2.1.21 hits the Eee Pad Slider SL101 today in the US.” For all who have anxiously awaiting the update, that wait is soon coming to an end since you will probably be getting the update over the next couple of days if you haven’t already gotten it of course.

The reason it will take a couple of days to go to all users of the device around the US is because of the comparatively larger size of OS upgrades in comparison to the smaller sizes of firmware updates. If you own a Eee Pad Slider and have been feeling resentful due to the fact that the Transformer Prime has been getting far more attention, maybe the news of this latest update will put a smile on your face, at least until the next update (Jelly Bean?!). With all that said and done, why are you still reading this? Get your Wi-Fi on and check if the update that will bring the sweet and succulent Ice Cream Sandwich has already snuggled its update-notification on your device yet.
