Sony Xperia S Owners Report Screen Heat leading to Color Problems

Published

on

Sony has accepted that there might be a problem with a select few of their Xperia S smartphones. Several users reported that when the phone’s temperature increases to about 40 degrees Celsius, the screen gets an unusual yellow tint on the screen which mars the beautiful high density screen that the smartphone is sought after for.

If you have noticed that your screen is one of the few that gets the yellow tint when exposed to high temperatures or heavy usage, Sony has advised users to get in touch with their local customer service centre. Sony Mobile Communications will be taking responsibility of the reported factory fault and remedy the situation at no charge.

The glitch for Sony’s first forage into smartphone territory just after splitting from its long-time partner Ericsson does not bode well but Sony seems to have taken it in their stride and many people still say that besides the yellow-tint glitch, the 1280x720pixel panel is gorgeous. Heating issues are not exactly new in the tech world with complaints about the new iPad’s overheating issues only a week ago or so. Let us know if you are one of those who have seen that yellowish tint for yourself and give Sony a call. You might be able to find out where your nearest Sony customer service centre is a bit quicker then.
