Twitter for BlackBerry now has deeper integration with BlackBerry Messenger

RIM has taken it upon itself to step up the BlackBerry smartphone user’s Twitter experience by integrating it with BlackBerry Messenger which is the platform’s most used function. Earlier today, Twitter said that Twitter for BlackBerry made it easier to share links to web pages directly from the browser and that when a user tweeted a link it will automatically be shortened to take up fewer characters. Moreover, the social mini-blogging site also said that users will be able to upload photos to Twitter right from the device’s camera or during tweet-composing.

On top of that, the new version of BlackBerry’s Twitter app will connect your account with BlackBerry Messenger so users will be able to share their latest Tweet as their BBM Personal Message. Finally they finished with what they deemed to be the best part which is the ability to access your contact’s Twitter accounts right from their BBM profiles. The fact that BlackBerry is known to keep BBM and other features of the smartphone very closed goes to show that both companies are working closely to ensure a better service for BlackBerry users whose quantity is on the decline.
