T-Mobile Happy to Receive AT&T’s Unlocked iPhones

T-Mobile was reportedly very excited that AT&T iPhone owners whose contracts had been fulfilled would be allowed to unlock their phones. This would mean that any of the unlocked phones can be used with T-Mobile’s plans with only the addition of a new microSIM. According to a T-Mobile spokesperson, the carrier already has more than one million unlocked iPhones running on their network since the carrier has made it extremely easy.

T-Mobile has allegedly promised to provide customers making the jump a cheaper price by offering its Value plans to them. After being the only major carrier in the US to not receive the iPhone 4S after it was launched, this would be a big boost for them as that exact same reason is often cited as to why it was behind the other major carriers like AT&T, Verizon and Sprint who elected to sell the iPhone after it was launched in October 2011.
