Survey Says: Google Is More Popular than Facebook, Apple and Twitter

According to a survey conducted by ABC News and The Washington Post about popularity of technology companies, Google is currently edging out Apple, Twitter and Facebook as far as the average consumer is concerned. The poll which was conducted from March 28 until April 1 used a sample size of 1007 adults.82% of those that took part preferred Google from the 4 world-leading technology brands.

Apple followed closely behind with 74% and Facebook came in at third with a respectable 58%. At last place with just 34% of the vote was Twitter. According to a report that was attached to the results, Twitter was also the least trusted company along with 31% who didn’t know about Twitter.

Google and Apple battling it out in front of the pack is not a surprise given that they are both popular companies across demographic groups and on top of that, their heavy emphasis on factors such as design and technological innovation seems to have left an impact on the younger, affluent and educated crowd.
