Like the Atrix on AT&T, the Motorola Photon 4G was Motorola’s flagship device on Sprint last year, but 2011 was a year for the Samsung Galaxy S2, the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2. This year however, the folks over at PocketNow received a tip-off that the successor to the Photon 4G on Sprint will be getting a successor. The rumor while unconfirmed only contains the name of the device and the phone it is said to replace.

According to the report, the purported device will be called Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. Aside from the fact that the phone is allegedly in the works as we speak only speculations about the hardware specifications can be made. Since it is to succeed a high-end phone, it would probably be bringing it with other currently high-end specs such as a 720p HD touchscreen, a dual-core if not quad-core processor and maybe an even larger display. But for now, that is all the information we have regarding the alleged device. But the moment we know something about it, we’ll let you know.
