New York City Releases NYC Map iPhone App

City Maps along with New York City have churned out an application for iOS to help users navigate through the ins and outs of New York. The app which is ideally called NYC Map, provides access to New York City’s 90,000 restaurants, stores and various other attractions will use famous recognizable symbols, logos, and brands on streets which will make it easier for visitors who do not speak English. Also provided with the application is an in-built method of checking in on Foursquare, sending tweets and uploading photos.

According to the co-founders of the application, they claim that their partnership with CityMaps has allowed them to create a product that benefits not only local New Yorkers, but also international and domestic travelers as well as the business located across the 5 boroughs. With the application, it is the creators hope to align themselves with forward-thinking technology such as this to better engage locals and visitors and also to support the digital sector in New York City.
