Notifications for Settings, App Store and Cydia Can Now Be Hidden [Jailbroken]

For anybody who has jailbroken their iOS device, you would know how annoying that little red badge-notifier on your ‘settings’, ‘app store’ and ‘cydia’ apps can be. If you know that there is a newer version of iOS out but you don’t want to lose your jailbreak and above all, you cannot take those notifications anymore, there is now a way to do it. iOS itself does let you remove notification counters from any app except the 3 mentioned earlier but now with the use of ‘OTA Begone’, ‘No AppStore Badges’, and ‘No Cydia Badges’ respectively, users can remove the badges for good.

The applications are in the BigBoss repository so it could be found through Cydia. After you have found the tweak you are looking for and installed it, click on the app which will appear on your home screen to configure it. If you prefer your home screen as minimalistic as possible get your apps into a folder called ‘Miscellaneous” and tuck it at the back somewhere since all 3 will create app shortcuts on the home screen. If you try this, do let us know how it goes with a comment below.
