Nokia Reveals Its Cheapest Handset

Nokia has announced the release of the Nokia 103 which at $25, is the cheapest handset ever made by the Finnish mobile company. Since many of us still see a phone as just a phone which can be used to text and place calls, it is not surprising that Nokia still want to cater for customers who want a device that just does that. Although the Nokia 103 is not likely to win an award for being the sleekest device, it isn’t unattractive with its orange and blue color combination it actually looks decent. Because of how cheap it is, users can kiss their chances of getting anything like an Android or Windows Phone operating system on it.  It has a basic black and white 1.36-inch screen and a battery life that is measured in months, not days.

Besides being a decent looking budget cellphone, the 103 does come with a few interesting elements such as its ‘anti-scratch’ cover, the fact that its dust resistant and also a flashlight along with FM radio if use a headset. While the other high-end device manufacturers will not be losing any sleep over this phone that was launched in Nigeria, the demand for devices that are cheap, good and high in quality like the Nokia 103 is very much warranted in places where owning an iPhone or high-end Android device costs more than paying rent and it is a good thing that Nokia remembers that the market still exists having catered for them in the past.
