Apple, the makers of the new iPad has announced today that it would start marketing the device for foreign markets totaling up to more than 50 countries on Friday with the device available by the end of the month. The next upcoming launch on April 20th will cover countries like South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela. Consecutively the 27th April launch will see the device go to Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.

The new iPad which was launched Stateside last month hit record-breaking numbers of 3 million in just it’s first week so sales around the world will be expected to mirror similar figures. As for China being exempt to the list of countries, reports have stated that it could be because of an on-going trademark battle with China-based computer firm, Proview Technology.
