Microsoft Nuno Silva Says All Windows Phones Will Get Windows 8

Microsoft Evangelist Nuno Silva has gone on record with Portuguese site Zwame and announced that all Windows Phone smartphones even from the first generation will get applicable for an upgrade to the upcoming Windows 8. While this may bode as the best news ever for those who put their money on the Windows OS when it was first introduced and even now with the Lumia range of phones, there has been no news prior to this of the phenomenon occurring.

In another twist, a few sources from other websites that claim to be close to the situation had also made mention of the fact that what Nuno Silva said is not true at all. While it would be excellent for the new features of Windows 8 that was thought to require added hardware to work on current phones it is as yet, still unconfirmed. At the same time it can’t be that unlikely given that Apple has been doing it for their iPhone and Google have been trying to implement the same system for their Android devices.
