There have been rumors about a device called the LG P936 which were about the company calling it the LG Optimus True HD as a dig to Samsung’s AMOLED screen. The smartphone has now been officially unveiled in Germany where the Nitro HD (which is what it is called in the States) will take on the “True” handle as a variant of the smartphone. The True HD will have a 4.5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear snapper and a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video chatting.

The device will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread but a bump up to Ice Cream Sandwich is expected to happen later on. LG has neither revealed when the Optimus True HD LTE will be available in Germany nor has the company said what the pricing scheme will be like. On top of that, the secrets remain on the backburner as there is even no news with regards to which carriers will be offering the handset since O2, Vodafone and T-Mobile in Germany all have LTE services.
