Amazon Kindle E-Readers May Get Display Upgrade [Rumor]

After Amazon made the huge jump into the tablet world with the Kindle Fire, company wants to further improve user experiences on their device. Online reports state that the next Kindle range will feature a “glowing” display which could push the tradition E-Ink screen higher than even the “front-lit” Kindle that is said to show up later this year.

On top of the “glowing display”, other rumors state that the company has already ordered millions of the alleged e-readers from display manufacturer E-Ink Holdings and this time around, they will be featuring a full color screen. Although the Kindle Fire already made the transition to color, E-Ink models also having a color screen would appeal to users who not only want to read but also watch movies or television shows on their tablet.

For those that like the classic black and white E-Ink Kindle, you don’t have to worry because there are speculations that LG began manufacturing a “flexible plastic E-Ink display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution” that some online sources believe may end up snuggling within a more affordable future model of the Kindle that will not need a glass screen for protection.
