iHome Diversifies and Unveils Android Speaker Dock

iHome, the brand behind many a iPhone or iPad dock has now put one foot into producing speaker-based accessories for Apple’s rival platform, Android. In their opinion, since there are less speaker-related options for Android users, the company is looking to take advantage of what seems to be a significant opportunity with a new group of consumers. For now, there is only a limited number of products since it has just launched but the company iterates that it will be growing over time. Featured items on the company’s website include the iC50 alarm clock radio dock for $59.99 and the iC3 charging dock for Android tablets or smartphones for $39.99.

Generally, the products thus far do not exceed the $60 pricing mark. All of the Bluetooth accessories will work with Android devices because the company has decided to branch out in the effort to make “true Android accessories”. One upcoming product that the company has highlighted is the iC16; a compact portable alarm clock stereo speaker with USB charging which is to go on sale soon with the tagged price of $59.99 as well.
