Garmin Smartphone Link for Android Updated with New Features

Garmin has updated its Smartphone Link Android app which connects to the company’s nuvi navigation devices. The update for the app comes with several new features which might prove to be worth downloading. The first feature that has been added through the update is ‘Dynamic Parking’ which actually says it all. The feature will help drivers locate parking areas close to their destination.

On top of just finding parking spaces which could be a godsend for moments where you feel like you had just better park your car at the side and wait for someone to walk to theirs and leave, the feature also provides users with the number of spots available and how much the parking for the highlighted spots would be. The other feature, Garmin Tracker will allow users to track the location of your nuvi device on the Garmin website or with the Tracker app.

This feature would likely be used to let friends or family track you or to see where you are headed in real time. On top of those two substantial features, Garmin has worked to integrate the app with Google Maps where you can send locations and address to the app via Google Maps with just a click on an address. Garmin Smartphone Link is now available for free download and it also includes both free and purchasable live services to be used with the application.
